Germany stocks higher at close of trade; DAX up 0.54%

Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Frankfurt, the added 0.54%, while the index climbed 1.43%, and the index added 1.06%.

The best performers of the session on the were MTU Aero Engines NA O.N. (ETR:), which rose 6.10% or 10.15 points to trade at 176.45 at the close. Meanwhile, RWE AG ST O.N. (ETR:) added 3.18% or 1.08 points to end at 35.07 and Rheinmetall AG (ETR:) was up 3.13% or 8.10 points to 267.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Commerzbank AG O.N. (ETR:), which fell 1.62% or 0.17 points to trade at 10.05 at the close. Dr Ing hc F Porsche AG Preferred (ETR:) declined 1.27% or 1.12 points to end at 86.90 and Deutsche Bank AG NA O.N. (ETR:) was down 1.18% or 0.11 points to 9.50.

The top performers on the MDAX were Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:) which rose 7.97% to 67.72, Puma SE (ETR:) which was up 7.60% to settle at 54.68 and Redcare Pharmacy NV (ETR:) which gained 6.35% to close at 114.75.

The worst performers were Kion Group AG (ETR:) which was down 3.55% to 32.88 in late trade, GEA Group AG (ETR:) which lost 1.69% to settle at 32.58 and K&S AG (ETR:) which was down 1.26% to 16.06 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:) which rose 7.97% to 67.72, Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:) which was up 5.68% to settle at 10.42 and Hensoldt Ag (ETR:) which gained 4.68% to close at 28.16.

The worst performers were ADTRAN Holdingsa Inc (ETR:) which was down 5.18% to 6.33 in late trade, Siltronic AG (ETR:) which lost 0.69% to settle at 78.85 and Qiagen NV (ETR:) which was down 0.62% to 35.22 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 406 to 239 and 88 ended unchanged.

Shares in Dr Ing hc F Porsche AG Preferred (ETR:) fell to 52-week lows; falling 1.27% or 1.12 to 86.90. Shares in GEA Group AG (ETR:) fell to 52-week lows; losing 1.69% or 0.56 to 32.58. Shares in ADTRAN Holdingsa Inc (ETR:) fell to all time lows; losing 5.18% or 0.35 to 6.33. Shares in Qiagen NV (ETR:) fell to 3-years lows; losing 0.62% or 0.22 to 35.22.

The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 4.42% to 19.48.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.29% or 5.85 to $1,981.95 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 2.91% or 2.49 to hit $83.00 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 2.72% or 2.44 to trade at $87.39 a barrel.

EUR/USD was down 0.66% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.02% to 0.87.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.64% at 106.01.
