Endeavor Group Holdings’ majority voting shareholder, private-equity firm Silver Lake, is considering taking the entertainment company private after Endeavor said it was exploring strategic alternatives. Silver Lake said it “firmly believes in Endeavor’s business” and does not want to sell any shares. Endeavor Group shares rose 25%, to $22.09, after-hours.
Mattel’s third-quarter adjusted profit and revenue surpassed analysts’ estimates, but the company maintained its full-year outlook for sales and only raised its adjusted earnings guidance by 5 cents. Analysts see the guidance as a signal of caution around the holiday season in the fourth quarter. Shares fall 8%, to $18.50.
Sunnova Energy said Wednesday that it had taken several steps to increase its liquidity, meaning it now anticipates needing no corporate capital in 2024. The company previously said it would need $500 million in corporate capital. Shares rise 11%, to $8.90.
