Reducing This Type of Cholesterol May Lower Dementia Risk by 80%. Have You Even Heard of It?

Keeping cholesterol levels low may protect your brain as well as your heart, according to a recent study. Researchers at the University of Bristol in the UK analyzed data on more than 1 million people in Europe. They found that people who have certain genetic variants that lower non-high-density lipoprotein (non-HDL) cholesterol naturally also have a reduced risk of dementia.
