Top 5 Reusable Items That Can Save You Money

When you need to get your budget in check, buying the right reusable items is worth doing. Many of them can help you save far more than you spend acquiring them. Plus, they can reduce the amount of waste your household creates, which is a nice bonus. Here are the top five reusable items that can save you money.

1. Reusable Grocery Bags

Many stores are charging customers for plastic or paper bags at checkout. By investing in reusable grocery bags, you can eliminate that expense. Similarly, taking any plastic or paper bags you’ve received from past shopping trips and bringing those along works, too.

2. Dish Towels

Dish towels can replace paper towels in many cases, and they can last an incredibly long time. Plus, you can get large packs for surprisingly little money, making it far more frugal even if you have to throw one away on occasion.

3. Reusable Coffee Filters

Whether you use a Keurig or a drip coffee maker, going with a reusable coffee filter can lead to savings. K-cups are much more expensive than buying coffee and filling a reusable filter. Similarly, reusable filters for drip coffee makers eliminate the need for disposable ones and can result in a savings over the long term.

4. Silicone Storage Bags

Silicone storage bags are reusable and food safe. Plus, they come in a variety of sizes. As a result, by going this route, you can stop purchasing disposable storage bags entirely.

5. Dryer Balls

Dryer balls help leave clothes and bedding feeling soft without the need for fabric softener sheets. Plus, they can eliminate static, and they last an incredibly long time. You can even add a few drops of essential oils to the dryer balls to add a pleasant scent, allowing you to get the exact aroma you want every time you dry.

Do you know of any other reusable items that can save people money? Do you reuse any of the items above and want to tell others about the difference it makes? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
